Integration Paths

Hosted Integration

The hosted integration method makes it easy to add secure payment processing to your online business, using the Handpoint hosted payment page or Handpoint payment fields. You can use this method if you do not want to collect and store cardholder data and be kept OUT of PCI scope. The standard hosted payment page is designed to be shown in a lightbox over your website. The hosted payment fields can be styled to match your website and fit seamlessly into your payment page.

Direct Integration

With direct integration, your merchant’s website captures the user’s personal and credit card details and then forwards these behind the scenes to the secure Handpoint gateway. Direct integration is more complex than the hosted integration method and puts your software IN PCI scope as you will be handling card data. The benefit of this integration method is that the entire shopping process can occur within your merchants’ websites.

Pay By Link

The Handpoint pay by link solution allows a merchant to create a simple HTML link that can be integrated into a webpage or e-mail. When clicked, the user is taken to the hosted payment form with pre-populated product information such as the amount, product description and order reference. We offer the pay by link solution as a QR Code, a simple link or a button.

Shopping Carts

Handpoint integrates directly with all major shopping carts providers. From WooCommerce to Magento and Zencart, Handpoint offers modules plugging directly into each and every webstore provider. This is the right solution if you want to provide online payments to merchants already using a shopping cart solution.

Mobile SDKs

Handpoint SDKs allow merchants to accept secure payments in a native mobile application. Our SDKs allow customers to save cards in the mobile app and store the tokenised cards for future payments, creating a seamless payment journey. Integrate secure in-app payments with Handpoint's Android or iOS SDKs.

Direct & Hosted Integration Documentation

This guide provides the information required to integrate with our Gateway and gives basic examples of code for doing so. It is expected that you have some experience in server-side scripting with languages such as PHP or ASP.

Pay By Link Documentation

The Pay By Link integration allows you to have full control over what information is passed to the Handpoint gateway via the Pay Button functionality. It uses the full list of hosted integration fields outlined in the above Gateway Integration Guide.

Sample Code

Integration guides are great, but there’s nothing like a bit of sample code to make the whole process easier! Download your code below:

Technical Integration Lifecycle

Please contact sales@handpoint.com to kickstart an integration process. Once the integration starts you will get a dedicated slack channel with the Handpoint developers to address any issues that might arise. Once the integration is ready, the Handpoint team will certify the solution by running a set of standard tests to make sure the integration is robust and ready for Go Live. The Handpoint team will then closely follow the first pilot merchants to make sure the solution is ready to scale.
